J.J. was working on Felicity. Her freshman through senior years of college coincided with my freshman through senior years of high school. I've been re-watching the DVDs and am sad to be halfway through season 4. He has characters do video documentaries just like in Cloverfield and it's really heavy on character development like Lost. J.J. is made of genius and gold.
video is gay but I love the song, sung by Amy Jo Johnson, AKA Julie Emerick, AKA the pink power ranger.
FACT: Ben and Felicity are the Brenda & Dylan of the next generation.

blockbusted
If there is one thing I learned from my hours in the attic of 242 E. 3rd street, it is that I need to catch up on movies and quality television. So in occupying some of my York hours, I have managed to sit through three movies:
1. Charlie Barlett: if you saw a preview or commercial, it was pretty much exactly what you would imagine. Enjoyable, but forgettable.
2. 2 Days in Paris: written, directed, and starring Julie Delpy. I love her because she is such a one-woman powerhouse and she is always involved in every aspect of the productions of her movies. I liked this movie a lot. Adam Goldberg played her boyfriend, and he is one of those random actors that always rings well with me.
3. The Dark Knight: obviously heath ledger was crazy great, but I had a hard time keeping my head in the game.

I keep having a nightmare that my high school diploma gets retracted because they just figured out how much I cut class.

I can't wait to be one of those stable people with a job that pays over-the-table and an address that is dependable enough that I can make address labels. Because then I will get Gigl a little black pug sister named J.J. Abraham Thompson and life will be complete.

things are looking up.
on Broadway, not in my life.
There are shows opening next season that I am actually excited to see:
1. reasons to be pretty: Neil LaBute is always interesting and modern, even if not consistently my taste. It's about the American obsession with physical appearance, which is a pretty ordinary topic, but I think he could address it in a fresh way. The potential problem: Piper Perabo.
2. Mary Stuart: I had such England-envy when this was playing at the Donmar Warehouse. Everything pertaining to Elizabeth I is good by me, and this is supposed to a political thriller that is actually both politcal and thrilling. Plus, Janet McTeer can do no wrong.
3. West Side Story: This is exactly the type of musical that should be revived. It's a musical that warrants the degree of popularity it has accrued. It will probably never close and probably never should. I like that Maria (Karen Olivo) is accomplished but not already over-exposed. And I like her face.
4. Hair: Another good revival, it will be interesting to see which one wins the Tony (probably West Side though). I pretty much can't think of an old-school musical I would be more excited to see revived with the technology/avenues of artistry that they didn't have 40 years.
5. Waiting for Godot: I feel like I've lived this play. Nathan Lane can be annoying but he's good. And last year Bill Irwin was working at PTC, so that's fun.
6. You're Welcome. A Final Night With George Bush: Will Ferrell + Broadway is the new peanut butter and honey.

agostini & norton
obviously we've all seen this:
*note: kate and aaron are both wearing completely different outfits when they are eating breakfast v. when she is packing upstairs.
my thoughts:
1. I think Agostini and Norton are working for Benry to get Kate back to the island.
2. There is going to be a link between the fact that there are 6 Dharma stations to the the fact that all of the Oceanic 6 have to return.
3. Somehow Tunisia is related to the island because that is where Charlotte was she got all happy that she found a Dharma polar bear and when Benry moved the island he got thrown into the Sahara 10 months into the future, soooooo he could be in Tunisia.
4. Claire is so dead.

I've always loved chalk drawings because it seems so cool for someone to put so much effort into something that they know will just get washed away. Julian Beever does these chalk drawings that look 3D if you see them at a certain angle, so he gets my props for the day.

i have my certainty
I can't wait for Doubt the movie. I can't think of three people who could have been better cast in the roles. I'm so glad Natalie Portman turned down the role of Sister James because Amy Adams is gonna be perfect with her sweet little voiced self.
