Holly Oak: Wilmington, DE
Holly Oak will always be my favorite roof because the millions of perfect hours spent there would be really hard to outshine.


Washington House: Newark, DE
The fact that my mom's condo in Newark had such a nice roofdeck (or 4) was a really nice surprise.

The Markle Residence: New York City
My roof in New York was one that I heavily occupied. One of my favorite things about that roof was that I never had to share it with anyone. It was usually just me, my bag of crap, and a phone. I made so many phone calls to so many people...my sick dad, phone interviews, my oldest & newest friends. The best thing was the view. To describe the greatness of that view would be like trying to take a picture of lightning. That roof had three stories that you had to climb terrifying ladders to scale, but that was a baby price for getting to hold on to that view for a minute.

West Sheridan: Chicago
This Chicago roof has a lot of other people on it all the time, which is not awesome. But it does have a great view, in a completely different way than New York. To the left, you can see the Lake & to the right, you can see the Cubs stadium.

Less RomCom, more serious relationship thought-movie. It was ok. I like Zach Braff, Rachel Bilson's face, and the soundtrack. It wasn't all that fresh, insightful, or stylish though. But I do love that Zach Braff loves Turin Brakes & my favorite part was the end credits because of this song:

There has been a lack of good live music in my life for the past few months, but luckily that has been recently remedied by two of the best performances of my life.

1. BOB WEIR = late hours of crazy awesomeness at All Good in West Virginia that ended way too soon.



2. THE WAILERS = minutes of awesomeness at People's Fest in Wilmington that lightning managed to make even better, but also caused to end way waaaaay too soon.

I went to Wilmington the other day and ended up staying longer than intended, which is my custom when I go visit people. We went to Deer Park, which sucked, but we forgot that Newark in general sucks. The silly Pangs were the reason why I was at Deer Park. But I also found out that the silly Pangs will be playing at All Good, so I am hoping to find myself there too.

The only CD I have listened to lately is Fall Out Boy's Folie a Deux, which had bits that sounded like The Relay, Britney's Circus, All That You Can't Leave Behind, Maroon 5, and awesomeness. I love it forever and always.

I forgot that I had the DVD of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button out when I left. My first impression of the movie: Skeleton Key meets boring & serious. After 20 minutes, I pretty much put it on pause for 3 hours. I liked this though:
A: Are you afraid?
B: I'm curious.

I spent the days after my dad's memorial service in the zito basement with wilmington's finest food, the oceanic six, and dvds.


1. 300: I fell asleep.

No grade.

2. Hancock: so good I watched it three times [off and on] in a 48 hour period.

3. I am Legend: zombies are lame.

4. the others: i'd seen this before but forgot, so it was brand-new to me. i likes.

5. GI Jane: very serious movie about why women should not be allowed in the army.

6. laguna beach season 1: i was a LB virgin and am very glad to not be anymore.

It used to be that I would drive home to Wilmington from York and the other day I did the opposite. I drove by my old house in Holly Oak and it looked a lot better than when I left it. I didn't like seeing other people's cars in the driveway though.


The post-Mojo hours made me remember my love for Sam's Town. And my drive home made me remember my love for the Mama's and the Papa's. Coming to/from New York, York, or Delaware to each other is always a weird little mental adjustment, but it was really nice to see the Oceanic 6 and company.
